Summoner Wars is a turn-based role-playing and strategy game where you have to pick a faction and fight against the enemy on a game board where only one person will come out winning.
The mechanics for Summoner Wars and the elements that it includes are what you would find in a traditional board game. You have to steal and use cards in order to call up units or launch spells, and you have to roll the dice to complete the combats between different units.
During each turn, you have to go through a series of phases, stealing cards, moving units around the board, launching spells and, of course, attacking. The goal is to get rid of the leader that opposes you.
When you play Summoner Wars, you can select between nine different factions and six enemies, which are controlled by the computer. Of course, in the free version you can only use one faction. You have to pay for the other eight through IAP (In-App Purchase).
Summoner Wars is an excellent turn-based strategy game that has mechanics that you would expect to find in a good board game and which allows you to play fast-paced, fun games against the computer or against another player (as long as you purchase the ability to do so).
